Carborundum
A very hard mineral made of silicon carbide (9 on the Mohs hardness scale, just one step below diamond) that is a by-product of zinc smelting and is used as an industrial strength abrasive. Carborundum form these gorgeous, glittery splays of dark gray crystals that sparkle in a rainbow of colors. Pictures don't do them justice at all! Pick your favorite from the options below:
